In some cases, you may want to disable the register button so that you can post information only without registration required.
You could include a hyperlink to a file with the information you want users to get in the public course description and have custom text on the button say "click on the course description to access the file". You could also replace the register button text with contact information of the contact person for this course.

Go to the specific course dashboard and select edit course information.

To disable registration for this course and re-label the button to show custom text, scroll down to the "COURSE MISC SETTINGS", select "No Email"and "Show Custom Text" from the dropdown menus. Then type in your custom text.

Go to the bottom and click "Save Course Changes" to save.

In some cases, you may want to disable the register button so that you only post the course information with the contact information for the course on this button.

To make the button show contact information, scroll down to the "COURSE MISC SETTINGS", and select "Show Contact Info" from the dropdown menu.
The public course will show the courses's contact information.

Go to the bottom and click "Save Course Changes" to save.
