How to use the Attendance Report
This guide will show you how the use the Attendance Report. This report provides a quick and convenient way to view the daily attendance records of students in a course, as well as the credits the students are earning and the student's grade in a course. If a course or some of the days in a course do not show in the report, you may need to change your filters, particularly the date filter.
1) Navigate to the Course Grid
2) From the Course Grid Navigation Menu, Select the Attendance Report
3) Use the Search Functions to Find a Student or Course
1) Select a Main and/or a Sub Category to filter the attendance by that Main or Sub Category. You can also filter by drop-down student information.
2) The attendance can be filtered using keywords. Supported keywords are a user's first or last name, a course number, a course name, or a course ID.
3) The attendance can also be filtered by a date range. If a course is started between the start and end dates entered, it will show in the list. The filter date can also filter dates within a course. In this example, the first three days of the course were filtered out.
4) Press the 'Search' button to look for courses with the specified criteria in steps 1, 2 and 3. You can also export this information to Excel or PDF.
4) You can show a bar chart of attendance that displays the information in the format below
You can filter by date range, categories, and drop-down student information fields to show the information you are looking for.
You have the ability to export this report to excel and/or print this as a PDF
5) We can also display the information in a Pie Chart if you prefer.
6) Other Report Functions
1) Click and drag a column header to move it to a different position. If you click on a column header and do not move it, the list will be sorted based on that column. If you click the arrow next to the column header, you can remove any of the columns from the list you don't want to see. A column removed from the list will also not show in the export.
2) Press the 'Export to excel' button to export the attendance report to a csv file.
