Adding Pizazz To Your Outgoing Emails

GoSignMeUp automates many email functions - why not make those emails look amazing?

Introduction

Did you know that the email configuration areas of GoSignMeUp will accept graphics and HTML code?  Its easy to make your emails look better with a few steps!

Edit Email Configurations

From the Course Grid (Courses|Course Grid) you will see a navigation panel on the left.  Find the Email Settings section under the Settings heading.

Email Settings

In the Email Configuration area, you will find tabs for each email the system sends out.(1)  You can customize each email, mixing text and graphics with Tokens that will automatically pull information from the data base - such as {FirstName} {LastName} - which will replace the tokens with the student data when the email is processed.

Adding A Graphic

To add a graphic, such as your company logo, to an email, first move your cursor to the spot in the email where you want the logo to appear.  Then click the Insert Image button (1).  Then browse your computer until you find the file and click Upload Image.(2)  Be sure to click the Update button at the bottom of the page when you are finished.

HTML

If you are tech-savvy and understand how to create hypertext markup language (HTML), the email configuration area supports it.  Make sure the Use HTML option is Yes (1) and then click the Source Edit button (2) - this will reveal the HTML source used to create the email.

Formatting the HTML

It is recommended that you work out your HTML using an HTML editor such as Adobe Dreamweaver or even an online web site such as http://www.onlinehtmleditor.net/.  It is just a lot easier to work in a dedicated HTML publishing tool than switching back and forth in the GoSignMeUp admin screen with the Source Edit option.  Your images should not be local, but hosted - use an image hosting site such as imgur.com or even host your images on your GoSignMeUp site using the Utilities | Upload Documents tool.

Remember you can simply type in the tokens such as {FirstName} {LastName},
